We never expected a pandemic to hit us when we began 2020 but there we were, hit with learning and adapting to a new way of life for, what seems like, the inevitable future. Small businesses have been affected hugely since the pandemic and it is more important than ever to support them. Not just us (although, please do!) but many small businesses, across the world. So, how can you help small businesses during and after the COVID-19 pandemic?
- Recommend small businesses to your circles. For us, as a family owned small business, we rely a lot on reviews and recommendations. You can really help small businesses like Pagel by recommending them to your family, friends and network groups. One of the strongest forms of communication is word of mouth. Talking about small businesses to other people will hopefully encourage new customers and business, alongside spreading awareness of the brand.
- The power of social media. Social media is an incredibly powerful tool so use it. Share, like and comment on small businesses’ content – engage with their posts. Why? It’ll get them noticed, show others that they are good at what they do/popular and spread the word. Oh and guess what? It’s free to do this. By liking a post, you are increasing the chances of other people seeing it so like, share, comment.
- Write a review on the business. There are lots of platforms whereby you can share your experience with a particular company. For us, it’s Trip Advisor (if you have visited us and haven’t yet reviewed us, please do, we value your opinion!). It helps others understand how effective businesses are too.
- Buy from them/use them. We want to take this opportunity to thank all our Pagel community for your support during the pandemic, prior to the pandemic and hopefully onwards! We value you and appreciate the support you’ve given us. Thank you.
