In 2002 we had a dream of setting up a
special place for families with children to spend a holiday " when the
children are happy we all have fun". Since then we believe we
have achieved the goal of providing child friendly self catering holidays
where all the family can relax and have a good time. Pagel is a secluded hamlet which consists of a 19th Century Winegrowers stone farmhouse, where we live during part of the season with our three children, Benj, Charlie and Mollie, plus a beautiful stone granary. The main house was renovated many years ago and we completed refurbishment of the granary into four luxury and spectacular holiday gites in May 2002. The buildings nestle in 5 acres of fenced land and the heated pool area is fenced and separate to all of the play areas. |

| Situated in the area between the two famous river valleys of the Lot and the Dordogne, some 320 metres up, about a mile from SALVEZOU (a quiet small village), and about three miles from CATUS (the nearest town) and twelve miles from CAHORS. Catus has a 12th century church, a post office, a newspaper shop, a bakery, a butchers, a tourist office, a small river (le Vert) which flows through the back of the village to le Lac Vert; a lake where you can swim, fish, sunbathe, picnic, etc… You can also play tennis on one of the two courts situated near the lake. Cahors, nestled in the loop of the river Lot is a medieval town well worth a visit. Apart from its cathedral and extremely old houses in very narrow streets, the famous Pont Valentre is one of its attractions. The medieval bridge strides the river Lot and is still used today. Cahors is an excellent starting point for wine tours of the Cele and Lot rivers. | ||||
