Staying Positive during Lockdown

With the recent UK Government announcement, we understand that it is difficult to stay perky as England enter our second lockdown of 2020. So, we are going to focus on the importance of maintaining and appreciating our friends and family and using this time to ensure we are communicating with them. Spending time with loved ones during the pandemic has been difficult with socially distancing measures in place and ‘bubbles’.

How can you make sure you stay positive during the second lockdown in the UK?

  • Keep in touch and keep communicating with family and friends. You may not be able to see them in person and you are probably sick of the word ‘zoom’ but the world of technology is a beautiful thing as it allows us to ‘virtually’ spend time with our loved ones.
  • Go outdoors in nature. It might be cold as Winter arrives, but it doesn’t mean nature is any less beautiful. A countryside walk by the river, a beach trip or even a local park…all will be beneficial for your wellbeing. We promise.
  • Only watch the news in small doses. Try not to become absorbed by it and let it take over. Focus on the pleasures in life.
  • Keep up with hobbies, whether that be walking, cooking or reading.
