Pagel is undoubtedly the Best Gite holiday we have had. Mark and Lara Bishops attention to detail means we have everything we could possibly need for a great family holiday, the pool
fantastic and the kids facilities were such a bonus as was the view! We will be back

A lovely holiday and a superb place for the children.Mark was great with the little ones, with his own made waterslide and mini train trips around the grounds. We visited the real tourist spots of St Cirq Lapopie (brilliant!). Roches des Aigles plus Rocamador (excellant!) the magnificent caves of Gouffre de Padirac…… as well as the fetes of Uzech and Salvezou which were really French. A good time was spent playing tennis, 5 aside football and boules by Catus Lac….another really nice place! Oh Yeh and the weather was near perfect as too the Gite. A fantastic holiday, a wonderful memory, many thanks for everything.
August 2002 – Gail, Stuart, Josh, Tom and baby Theo
A really excellant holiday-”the best ever” Josh and Tom said. Great for parents and children alike-Mark and Lara worked very hard to make it special-tractor rides and water slides, fruit picking. Fantastic food at La Recreation at Les Arques. All went canoeing at Caix, St Cirq Lapopie was wonderful, lovely cafes and boutiques. Swam in the River afterwards. Theo loved all the attention and toys…. but liked the pool best of all.
August 2002 – Helen Richter and Chris Terry
We are writing this looking at the Sunset over the valley from our Gite. What a perfect end to a wonderful relaxing week. We can recommend the electric boats in Cahor-very peaceful. The restaurant Mourges in Peyrilles as well as the many cafes in the square by the Cathedral at Cahors. The Lac Vert provided us with many pleasant afternoons cruising on the lake aboard our pedalo. Mark and Laras home provided us with a beautiful base from which we explored the area and relaxed in 100% comfort. A wonderful break.
August 2002 – David and Michelle Warner
Thanks for a wonderful stay. Just an ideal setting for an away from it all holiday. Too much to see to name it all, just explore.
August 2002 – Marian & John Morris, Emily & Hannah, Jonty & Kathia Boddington, Mark Seabridge
Comfortable, spacious and cool Gite, breathtaking views and excellant local food and wine especially at Mourges in Peyrilles… The maize, the sunflower fields so quiet and peaceful… and watching for shooting stars late at night in the garden-a magical fortnight.
August 2002 – Claire, Oliver, Will, Margaret and Bob
A very well equipped Gite and excellant facilities for the children. Peace and quiet and beautiful countryside enjoyed by three generations.
September 2002 – The Truscott-Smiths
Thank you for a most relaxing and enjoyable holiday. We really appreciated all the great advice, particularly that for the great restaurants. Le Gindreau (restaurant) was an experience we shall never forget. The relaxed informal enviroment was great for the children and for the adults. Thank you for everything.

We’ve had a lovely week, peaceful and very well equipped for both children and adults alike. The walking and bike riding were fantastic along with the weather-shirt sleeves all week.
