As part of the Pagel concept we have the opportunity of presenting a special family friendly holiday hideaway in an area of beauty and charm. Set on high in an elevated position with extensive country views and surrounded by three acres of gentle undulating grounds and gardens, ideal for running free and natural play… Freedom to roam. Family friendly holidays in France rarely offer this much fun for kids and tranquillity for adults.

Champs des Lombardes is comprised of one beautiful Lotois stone cottage and a converted barn, set in three acres of beautiful grounds just outside the hamlet of Labastide du Vert in the Lot region, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The gardens hide a magical discovery at every turn, from the small Indian village nestled near to the bamboo, to the trampoline, pirate ship sandpit, playhouse, climbing frame and swing. The pool is heated and fenced and has sunloungers and parasols and gazebos for two families and is set near to both properties. Whilst grownups relax, little ones can swim, run, play and explore in a completely child friendly environment, or for family adventures, the surrounding area holds magic and charm. The welcome folders detail local restaurants and fantastic places for great days out for all the family.

Much of what is offered at Pagel is offered at The Cotton House and Tiggy Cottage, from the wonderful outdoor facilities to an exciting toy box in each gite. Imaginative play and dressing up is part of the magic of Champs des Lombardes and the Pagel concept and there are many outfits to choose from… fairies, Snow White, Pirates, Cowboys…

Everything you may need as parents has been thought of from cots and high chairs to changing mats, baby monitors and baby gyms. We have an extensive list of all that we offer, everything you need practically to make sure your family holiday is hassle free, just list all you require on the booking form and we will have it all in your gite ready for your arrival.

At this little oasis of family fun, you will be welcomed on site by our English Manager on a Friday after 4pm.  There is a welcome folder available to detail all the exciting days out and local restaurants. Twice a week you will be visited by our English manager who will be on site for a few hours to look after the pool and be of assistance with any questions you may have.

Both properties are set near to each other and each has its own character and natural charm. Named after the Beatrix Potter stories “The Cotton House” and “Tiggy Cottage” have been set up to offer families with children all that they may need from practical facilities to toys and play equipment… everything that’s required to ensure your fun family friendly holidays in France. When the children are happy, we all have fun.
